Antoninus Pius, 138-161. 'As' (Copper, 23 mm, 5.15 g, 12 h), a contemporary imitation, irregular mint, after 156/57. [...]NVS AVG PIVS P P IM[...] Laureate head of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. [...]R POT XX CO[...] / S - [C] Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Cf. BMC 2028, Cohen 1001 and RIC 971 (for prototype). An interesting contemporary imitation with an attractive green patina. Very fine.
